Welcome to Roll Wit It, where fun, fitness, and mental well-being come together! Our roller skating disco events offer an exciting way to stay active while enjoying great music, vibrant lights, and an inclusive community.
But we go beyond just skating! Our events also feature mental health workshops designed to help you de-stress, build resilience, and connect with others in a supportive environment & lots more. Whether you’re looking to boost your mood, improve your confidence, or simply have a blast on wheels, we’ve got you covered.
Starting Sun 9th March
Join us every Sunday from 9th March 2025 for a free mental health workshop with former Manchester United and Wigan player Pat McGibbon at St. Mary’s Youth Club, Obins St, Portadown.
This six-week programme, generously sponsored by six local businesses, offers valuable insights into mental well-being in an informal and welcoming setting.
Workshop & Skating Schedule:
Workshop Sessions: 1:30 PM – 2:15 PM & 2:30 PM – 3:15 PM
Roller Skating Sessions: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM & 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Skating Price: £7.00 (includes skate hire & safety wear)
The workshop runs alongside our roller skating sessions, so you can skate for a full hour and attend the workshop before or after—or just drop in for the workshop.
What to Expect:
Pat McGibbon will take a relaxed approach, covering a range of important topics, including:
✔ Social pressures
✔ The power of time
✔ Stress management
✔ Healthy eating
✔ Anxiety & depression
✔ The role of sport in mental health
Pat will also share stories from his playing days at Manchester United and Wigan, take part in a Q&A session, and stay afterwards for group or one-on-one chats.
